# Connector

**Connectors** allow you to integrate external applications and services into your organization’s workspace. Once a connector is added, the application can interact directly with the connected service to extend functionality and automate workflows.

## **Connect or Disconnect a Connector**

To add a new connector, click **New Connector**. A list of supported external connectors available in **GLChat** will be displayed. Select a provider to Connect or Disconnect, depending on your needs.

## **Register a Connector**

After connecting to a provider, the connector will appear in the **Connector List** and become available for configuration. Each connected service must be registered before it can be used in your workspace.

When registering a connector:

1. Logo (Pre-filled)\
   Displays the connector’s logo in the project.
2. Display Name (Pre-filled)\
   The name of the connector as it appears in the user interface.
3. Description (Pre-filled)\
   Provide a brief description explaining the connector’s purpose and functionality.
4. Knowledge Source\
   Toggle On to make the connector selectable and visible in the [project’s](/glchat/organization-admin/how-to-guides/project.md) connector list.\
   Toggle Off if you want the connector to remain hidden from the [project](/glchat/organization-admin/how-to-guides/project.md) list and only be available on the[ user settings](/glchat/application-ui/how-to-guide/settings.md).

Disconnecting a connector removes it from the Connector List and makes it inaccessible within the project.

## **View and Edit Connector Details**

To view or modify a connector, click the **three-dot icon (⋮)** and select **See Details** on the desired connector.

Click the "Edit" button and you can review its configuration or update the settings as needed. When finished, click **Save** to apply your changes or **Cancel** to discard them.

## **Configuration**

You can manage and add connector configuration details from the **Configurations** page. To create a new configuration, click the **New Configuration** button and enter the required information.

If you need to remove a configuration, locate it in the list and click the **Trash** icon next to it, then confirm the action when prompted.

## **Search Connector**

Use the **Search** field to quickly find a specific connector by typing its name. The list will automatically filter to display matching results.

## **Delete Connector**

To delete a connector, click the **three-dot icon (⋮)** and select **Delete**. A confirmation pop-up will appear, click **Delete** to confirm or **Cancel** to abort the action.

Connector cannot be deleted if it is still assigned to any project. You must first remove all assigned project before attempting to delete the connector.
