# Getting Started

Welcome to the **Meemo User Guide**! 👋🏼

This guide will help you get started with Meemo, an AI-powered meeting assistant that records, transcribes, and summarizes your meetings automatically. It is designed to ensure that no important discussion points are lost, while making it easy for you to review, share, and act on meeting outcomes.

## What is Meemo?

Meemo is a smart platform that assists you in managing your meetings more effectively. With Meemo, you can:

* **Record meetings** through Google Meet integration, real-time recording, or by uploading an existing file.
* **Transcribe conversations** into accurate, searchable text.
* **Summarize discussions** into executive summaries, key points, and action items.
* **Export results** in multiple file formats for easy sharing and documentation.

By using Meemo, teams can focus on the meeting itself, while Meemo handles the task of documentation in the background.

## New Users

If you are new to Meemo, please ask your **Meemo Admin** within your organization to send you an **invitation link** to join Meemo as a member. You will need this invitation to create your account and access your organization’s meetings.

For detailed instructions on how invitations work, please refer to the [**Members**](https://gdplabs.gitbook.io/meemo/application-ui/members) section of this guide.
