Welcome to the GLChat User Guide. This guide provides a step-by-step walkthrough of GLChat’s capabilities so you can get the most out of the platform.
While the Feature Overview page gives you a quick snapshot of what it can do, this guide focuses on how to use each feature in practice. You’ll find clear instructions, screenshots, and tips for both everyday tasks and advanced use cases.
We’ve grouped features into categories for better navigation:
Navigation and Chat List

The application selector in the top left corner allows users to switch between Applications assigned to them in the environment

Basic chat features, such as creating a new chat, renaming a chat, sharing a chat, and deleting a chat

Search chat or conversation titles across assigned applications based on the term entered in the search box

A mode that allows users to ask questions without the system recording the history of the chat during incognito mode

Provide users with updates on completed tasks and suggest the next actionable steps
Chat Configuration

Integration with AI Agents for additional capabilities depending on the agent's features

Capability to upload documents or files supported by the system for questioning in the application or as additional references

Capability to retrieve information or context from the internet as knowledge to answer questions when triggered

Unlock insights with our deep research feature, diving into comprehensive data analysis and uncovering hidden patterns to inform your decisions.

The capability to switch between different LLMs supported in the application

Capability to chat using Speech-to-Text technology that interprets speech into messages in the chat input

Capability to set recommended questions for each application, providing users ideas on what questions can be asked of a specific application

A toggle in the Chat Control (right sidebar) to determine whether users want to anonymize or deanonymize PII in the chat before sending it to the LLM

Configure the language used for speech input and read-aloud features to enable more natural voice interactions.

The capability to filter chat messages is based on configurations set in the DPO and a reference CSV file. This allows for customized filtering to meet specific requirements.
Chat Input and Responses

Shows the steps and processes that occur from the moment the user sends a message until a response is generated. It will show the steps involved from backend and also the total duration

Basic message interaction such as starting a new message, editing a message, copy response, regenerate response, and providing feedback on the response (thumbs up and thumbs down)

Feature that allows users to quote specific answers from the bot and use them as context for future chats

Capability to display media files (currently images and YouTube widgets) inline in the chat area based on contextual answers

Capability to display chart inline in the chat area based on contextual answers

Capability to preview PDF files inline instead of opening them in a new tab, and to highlight the relevant sections used as context during the answer to the question

Feature that adds citations to the answers generated by the LLM and links or highlights the source of reference

Feature that enables auto-suggestions of prompts to be entered, working in the New Chat area

Centralized list of recommended and auto-generated questions to guide conversation starters in the application.

Capability that allows users to set preferences for the LLM to be used in the chat area, as well as configure the anonymization of personal data and default application
